Testimonial 1

“This is to certify that in November 2008 Solarzone (Pty) Ltd carried out an installation of solar hot water systems (1 x 150lt, 3 x 300lt) in four buildings that comprise a new, purpose-built student residence and attached staff house and common room at our boarding school. The installation has proved to be reliable and effective, and has met the needs of the students living in the accommodation. This was an important step for our school, as we endeavour to inculcate in all our students a sense of responsibility and concern for the environment. It is therefore important that we practice what we preach as an institution, by reducing our reliance on traditional energy sources. The sales and installation staff at Solarzone were efficient, well-informed and a pleasure to work with throughout, and have responded in a timely, helpful way to any queries that have arisen since the installation was completed.” Barb Taylor from Swaziland

“The solar energy system at the German International School Johannesburg is a joint initiative of dena (German Energy Agency) and Schueco Intenational KG (Germany). The system was successfully installed by the Cape Town based company Solarzone (Pty) Ltd and unveiled in June 2008. The 12 pholtovoltaic panels installed on the school's roof generate in excess of 5 300kWh of electricity annually, which is used directly to run the school's electronic devices and charge the back-up battery system In addition, solar thermal collectors supply energy for hot water for the school’s kitchen and heat the water for the school showers. The German International School is satisfied with the performance of the system and is happy to discuss the installation further, should this be required.”-MAG Stenemann from Johannesburg
